A UK based non governmental organization (NGO), Projects Abroad, as part of its socialization policy with the Ghanaian Community, has organized a football match between the Cantonments Youth Academy and the Ghana Association of Referees at the Prisons Park in Accra.

POSH fan Charles Gould is the last person you might expect to find showcasing his football skills on a dust bowl of a pitch in down town Accra. For starters the Ghanaian capital is more than 3,000 miles from the UK and about as far removed from Gould’s quiet home town of Fotheringhay, near Oundle, as it’s possible to get.

FFT blogger David Oswell is back from his coaching trip to Ghana, where he has been coaching and donating football products to young kids in the African nation - including our mag! Oswell raised over $5000 in a charity match before heading off to Africa and was able to donate 120 pair of boots, 150 footballs, 40 pairs of shinpads, plus training equipment like cones, bibs, pumps and medical kits.
